According to § 41, Abs. 3 AllgStuPO the Examination Board is responsible for the following tasks:
• Organization of exams
• Appointment of examiners and assessors
• Recognition of study periods as well as study and examination achievements (eg in case of change of university, change of study or semester abroad)
• Recognition of internships
• The decision on appropriate examination conditions for students with disabilities and / or (chronic) diseases (compensation of disadvantages)
Please note that an application can only be made in writing. Please use the respective forms and send them filled in with all relevant attachments to the secretariat. Please do not send original documents apart from the forms, only copies. Should the submission of originals be necessary, we will inform you accordingly. If an appointment is necessary, please send a short mail with the following information and choose a suitable subject:
Subject 1: Examination Board questions and signatures (5 minutes)

Deadline extensions and exceptions
The Examination Board decides on the granting of time extensions for examinations and exceptions in the structure of courcses. If you would like to make an application in this regard, please fill out the forms provided according to your request:
• Deadline extension for module examinations
• Deadline extension for final theses
• Deadline extension for re-examination
• One-time change of examination form for a module examination
• Exceptions from the module catalog / subject catalog (if provided in studies and exam regulations)
Recognition of study and examination achievements
In any case, the question of recognition, whether it is the change of the university or the change of your course of study, stays abroad or modules in other disciplines from the other universities in Berlin, you will need to fill out two forms Part A and Part B provided by the Student Service for recognition of the study and examination achievements to be recognized
In all cases, it should be noted that professor for the relevant module must first sign the lists Part A and / or Part B before you submit them to the examination board. If you have problems or questions regarding the correct completion of the lists Part A and / or Part B, please contact student service.
- Recognition of modules
If modules have been completed in another degree program which are identical with biotechnology, these modules can be recognized directly by the Examination Board (with grade and number of credit points). Qispos is to be provided.
For all the other modules, Professor responsible for this module must first recognize it (with grade and the number of credit points). If this approval has been given by the professor, the board of examiners accepts this by signing it.
In addition, the examination board also carries out a semester classification. One semester is recognized for every 30 credits.
- Recognition of credits when changing the University or Study Course
In the case of a change of university, please formulate an informal letter in which you provide information about your previous university and about the degree program or the equivalence of the course content. Please include a copy of your transcript of records.
If you change your subject within the Technical University, you will need an excerpt from your QuisPos.
• Recognition of credits got from abroad
In order to be awarded the credits rendered in the course of a stay abroad, the relevant performance certificates of the foreign university or equivalents are required. In addition, please also submit an excerpt from your QisPos.
• Recognition of internships
Recognition of basic and specialist internships will continue to be provided by Prof. Meyer. Further information can be found on the website of microbiology.
If, due to disability and / or chronic illness, you are prevented from completing the intended course of studies or from performing an examination, you may send a claim for compensation. Use the form provided and attach all relevant supporting documents. If you need general information, you can contact the responsible representative of TU.
Bafög/ Student loan
The Examining Board Chairperson is responsible only for the certificates issued by the training center. For all further questions about BAföG, please contact your responsible BAföG office in the Student Union. If you need a certificate for BAföG office, please submit an excerpt from QuisPos.
If you receive a training grant according to the BAföG, you must always submit proof of achievement to the BAföG office at the beginning of the fifth semester. Possibly. However, the Proof is also required from the third semester.
The certificate according to § 48 BAföG (Form 5) is confirmed by the chairman of the examination board. If you need such a certificate, please make an appointment and bring the form completely filled.
If you are taking a placement abroad or studying abroad in the meantime, you can also submit an application for training support for training abroad at the BAföG office.
The decision on the eligibility for the internship / study abroad is given by the chairperson of the Examination Board (Form 6). If you are planning a stay abroad, make an appointment and bring the form completely filled out.
